Plus the roof racks are not holding up with paint or waht ever they are made of. However a couple more times using it and the copper coating on the inner basket began to peel. I was thinking of painting it with high temp bbq or engine type paint but then had a thought after washing my wifes honda pilot. I am experiencing paint peeling on the silver roof rack posts on the rogue.

I just noticed recently that the silver paint on the roof rail of my 14 nissan rogue peeling off. Tue jun 14 2011 10 15 pm car. The paint is peeling on the factory honda roof rack purchased from h and a only 2 years after putting it on. Of course 3 year warranty sad she has taken back to kia in jacksonville but of course too late.

Discussion starter 1 dec 4 2012. It is peeling on both sides the entire length of the roof rack. The outer basket paint began to peel which isnt that big of a deal since it only catches grease. It was the paint on the underside of the four mounting points.

Hello everyone new member. It looks like the honda had a type of bed liner type paint on the roof rack. Flaking and peeling of a coating applied to concrete flooring. Peeling paint on roof rack.

Thus it began to develop a little rust. My toyota no paint problems and no roof rack problems. Joined nov 10 2010 12 posts. Peeling due to moisture inside loss of adhesion of the interior paint caused by high levels of moisture.
